3 Simple Ways to Stay on Track with Your Goals in 2025
Heyy you,
It’s Friday again, and while I’m excited for the weekend, I can’t help but notice how fast the month is moving.
I’d like to say I’m still on track with my 2025 goals, but, sadly, not quite.
My goal was simple, but the objectives were quite a few. And while the goal is still... well, the goal, I’ve faltered in some daily habits that would have helped build a stronger system.
If you feel the same way, I bring good news... as always: we’re still early enough to get back on track.
In this edition of the TDP newsletter, I’ll share tips I plan to adopt to build better systems.
Our goals might be different, but success in achieving them relies on the underlying traits of consistency, accountability, and visibility.
Tip One: Daily Accountability
I decided to have a physical good habits tracker. The simplest tool to achieve this is something we all grew up using but seems elusive now: a physical calendar.
Since I don’t currently have one, I’ve decided to turn pages of my journal into a makeshift calendar. I’ll tick off each day I perform well in my resolve to:
These tasks are actionable steps I need to meet my 2025 goal.
Tip Two: Practice Mental Validation
In my 2024 recap post, I shared lessons I picked up and am actively carrying into the new year. While I’m happy to report that most lessons have begun to pay off, I remain practical enough to admit I still mentally struggle with the last one: applying for opportunities I think are too big for me.
I have doubts—mostly because the last time I did something so… (brave?), when I wasn’t quite ready for it, I failed spectacularly in public.
To counter this and stop these thoughts from seeping into my subconscious, I actively combat fleeting doubts with positive mental images of who I know I truly am.

I am not my failures. I am a brilliant mind, eager to contribute solutions to problems that once plagued me—and still plague others.
Even though I grew up shy and introverted, I am no longer that person. I am confident, dependable, and inspiring as a professional.
I know better than to let doubt take root in my subconscious because it can make or break you.
Tip Three: Efficient Work Habits
As a recent founder who’s still bootstrapping, I juggle many tasks and commitments spanning different fields. I’ve noticed how new tasks can easily disrupt previous engagements. To mitigate this, I plan to build more efficient work habits that ensure flexibility for growth opportunities while maintaining consistency with prior commitments.
How?
By batching similar tasks together.
For example, I won’t create my newsletter articles on the same day I send them out. A break in schedule could mean I forget to publish weekly updates.
Instead, I’ll create and schedule articles in bulk ahead of time. This way, no matter what disruptions arise, my commitment to delivering valuable pieces for you remains intact.
Applying these tips will free me (and you, if you choose to adopt them) from daily pressures while keeping us attuned to our goals.
Thank you for reading this far! As usual, my DMs are open if you have any questions.
Till then, enjoy your weekend! TGIF!
