3 Simple Steps to Turn Leads into Sales

I’ll use one of our marketing campaigns as an example to show you how to do it, step by step.
Step 1: The postcard
We sent this postcard to our dental prospects.
It has a simple message (get your first 5,000 postcards FREE) and a straightforward call to action (visit postcardmania.com/dentalfree).
Here’s why the postcard works:
- Simple, bold text with bullet points make it easy to read
- It tells the recipient exactly what step to take next
In this process, you’ll see, each step is designed to encourage the prospect to take the next step. The postcard is designed to get the recipient to visit the landing page.
Step 2: The landing page
The landing continues the conversation started by the postcard, and is designed to encourage the lead to give us their contact information.
We know that they have some interest in doing direct mail (or else they would not have gone to the page), and once we get their information, we can nurture that lead with phone calls and emails until they become a customer!
Here’s why it works:
- Short copy with bullet points make it easy to keep reading
- Benefits tell prospects what they’ll get out of the offer
- A fill-in form (with a button that says “Get Postcards” instead of just “submit”) captures their contact information
Step 3: The thank-you page
Once the lead fills out the form, where do they go?
Well, we want to take what we know about them — that they are interested in using direct mail — and what is best for us!
So…
We send them to a page that thanks them for giving us their information and encourages them to take the next step, which is to speak to one our marketing consultants!
So there you have it: The 3-step process that turns prospects into super hot leads you can close.
