3 Simple Steps to Master Your Mind

A pandemic can upset the world order and create big chaos in the entire world at the time technology ruled the world. We don’t have a readymade or quick solution to resolve this issue.

The questions like the one below becomes relevant during these challenging situations.

?“Do you control your mind and thoughts... or do they control you?”.

For most, the controlling or mastering the mind is the biggest challenge. This affects their efficiency and productivity.

To become productive, we need our thoughts that can help us. This will open up new experiences as well as of connecting with people. It helps you to make your emotions stronger and even remember certain things that you want to forget. We are all capable of controlling our own minds.

You are aware that minds are very powerful and they can be our greatest ally or greatest enemy.

The following 3 steps will help you to master your mind

1.??????Thoughts

The first step is how to identify from where these thoughts are coming from. Feelings are rooted in our thoughts.

In order to process emotions and act in a rational way, we need to identify what we were thinking when we felt those emotions. So youth need to identify the thought that came to them when they felt a particular emotion so that youth know how to process it.

2.?????Play out

Once you have identified the thought, play it out in your head. If it was a painful experience, do a recap, and then write it down a memory journal.

The reason why you should write it down is to scale down the proportion of memory. Things seem worse in our heads than they actually are. By default, our minds tend to magnify horrible experiences and make us expect the worst, which rarely comes.

By writing down the mental reel that plays in our heads, we are distancing ourselves from that memory. We are removing its power to overwhelm us. By removing them from our mental library, we sort of free ourselves from it.

3.?????Rectify

When you finally realize just how small it actually figures in your life, you’ll be able to ask yourself “what was I so worried about?”

You’ll be able to identify what about your worry or your thoughts are inaccurate. You’ll be able to see that there are parts about your memory that aren’t real, that aren’t true.

Once you see that, you will then be able to formulate a truth in your mind that gives you comfort, that you can trust.
