83 lessons (Common Sense and Civic Sense

1. Do not call someone more than twice continuously. If they do not pick up your call that means they have something more important to attend.

2. When someone drops something on the floor by mistake or drops food from the plate or does not know how to use a knife/fork? Do not stare at them. The same goes to people sneezing, coughing or even an uncontrollable fart. It is an involuntary reaction.

3. Always skip using the washroom beside the occupied one. It makes it uneasy for the person in the occupied washroom as well as yourself if you occupy the one right next to theirs.

4. Return the money that you have borrowed even before the other person remembers lending it to you. Be it Rs1 or Rs100. It shows your integrity & character. Same goes with book, umbrellas, pens & lunch boxes.

5. Never order the expensive eating dish on the menu when someone is treating you for lunch/dinner. If possible, ask them to order their choice of food for you.

6. Do not ask awkward questions like ‘Oh so you are not married yet?’ Or ‘Don’t you have kids’ or ‘Why didn’t you buy a house?’ For god’s sake, it is not your problem.

7. Always open the door for the person coming behind you. Does not matter if it is a guy or a girl. You do not grow small by treating someone well in public.

8. If you take a taxi with a friend & he/she pays now, you pay next time.

9. Respect different political opinions, religious opinions, opinions about the caste system, etc. Most people around all of us are the victims of some belief system and one/many habits.

10. Do not call people on the phone very late (after 6.00 pm in the evening) if it is not important.

11. Never interrupt people when talking.

12. If you tease, someone & they do not seem to enjoy it? Stop it immediately & never do it again.

13. Say “Thank you” when someone is helping you.

14. Praise publicly. Criticize privately.

15. If you are talking to someone & notice any of the following, they are trying to end the conversation: Their eyes keep darting away. They angle their body away from you. They give you rapid one-word answers.

16. There is almost never a reason to comment on someone’s weight. Just say, “You look fantastic.” If they want to talk about losing weight, they will.

17. If you are getting a long flight or train, shower before. The person next to you will appreciate it.

18. When someone shows you a photo on their phone, do not swipe left or right. You never know what is next.

19. If a colleague tells you they have a Doctor's appointment, do not ask what it is for, just say hope you are OK. If they want to talk about it, they will & you do not put them in the uncomfortable position of having to tell you their personal illness.

20. Treat the cleaner with the same respect as the CEO. Nobody is impressed at how rudely you can treat someone below you but people will notice if you treat them with respect.

21. If a person is speaking directly to you, staring at your phone is rude.

22. Never give advice until you are asked.

23. Do not make plans in front of those you are not involving.

24. Do not talk to someone if they are wearing headphones.

25. When meeting someone after a long time, unless they want to talk about it, do not ask them their age & salary.

26. When a friend/colleague offers you some food, you can politely say No. Nevertheless, do not do this after tasting it or smelling it. It is an insult to the one who has offered it to you in the first place.

27. When someone starts talking about their ailments, do not start talking about yours.

28. When someone you know has an obvious change in appearance, e.g., weight gain/loss, bald spot, scar, etc. Never ever comment on it until they talk about it to you. They already know what has happened to them.

29. Never kiss a baby that is not yours.

30. Mind your own business unless anything involves you directly. Just stay out of it.

31. Do not view (comment, share, comment, judge, and opinion) every post on Facebook, and on WhatsApp as an opportunity to argue/debate. Even if does not conform to your views or beliefs or your perception.

Now take a look at the list of lessons which I learned (unlearned plus relearned) on my own since I became adult at the age of 15.

1. Give up your expectations about everyone around and then frustration, anger, and stress will never touch your mind, soul, thinking & body.

2. Keep yourself ( hands, fingers, ears, eyes, mind, thinking, soul and the entire body) busy in some physical task as soon as you get up till you sleep (you are dead). By doing this, you won’t have any time to think of the rest of the world.

3. Never ever touch anyone’s Smartphone come what may.

4. Never ever touch/use anyone’s email account come what may.

5. Never ever shake the hand of any other human as soon as you come out of the bathroom/toilet. It is treated as bad manners, bad ethics, and bad habits.

6. In public places (including office, social working firm, government offices, banks, insurance offices, etc.), never ever remove shoes if people around. You may not know. Your legs may spread bad odor.

7. Never ever break, demolish and/or destruct anything that is not produced by you. Created by you. Designed by you. Especially non-movable public properties including public transport vehicles or private vehicles.

8. Never ever argue and/or debate with those people who strongly believe in religion, in caste system, in gender/skin color discrimination, in physical dimensions, trust on printed newspapers plus published news, trust on TV News, trust on entertaining films, possession of goods/products, having political views about a party/leader, economics views of people around, social views about people around, etc.

9. Never ever argue and/or debate with those people who disrespect nature, universe, soil, rainwater, river water, sea water, sun, and moon. Moreover, who think everything is free.

10. Never ever argue and/or debate with all those people who think science (physics, chemistry, biology, zoology, etc.), engineering, mathematics, statistics, etc. are fraud subjects and all proven theories are bakwas and fraud.

11. Never ever argue and/or debate with those people who refuse out and out human anatomy and/or who hate to read human anatomy.

12. Never ever argue and/or debate with those people who use their Smartphone in argument and/or in the debate.

13. Always carry data in your hand in argument and/or in the debate. Argument and debate without data is gossip.

14. Never ever participate in public discussions about anyone’s wife/husband. Wife/husband is not a subject of public discussions. It is private and intimate.

15. Be calm and quiet in every situation and in every event.

16. None of us are immortal. Do not hesitate to take decisions. Do not hesitate to do an experiment in your life. Taken decisions and daily experiment give everyone much more knowledge, education & information which is not being taught at the home, in school, in college, and in university.

17. Do not give your opinion, judgment and do not comment on all the events where you are not directly or indirectly responsible.

18. No one is perfect. However, everyone to whom you meet got at least one or more advantage. Focus on that advantage/benefit and on that good habit than focusing on the disadvantage and on those bad habits.

19. Never ever compare yourself with others and vice a versa.

20. In a room, never ever talk, judge, compare, criticize and complain about those people who are not present in the room.

21. In business premise, in social work, and in national work, avoid talking about religion, caste, color discrimination, gender discrimination, etc. These premises got very crystal clear goal, target & mission.

22. Never ever ask anyone about their salary and/or their business income/profit. It is none of your business. Moreover, if they tell on their own to you? Hear it from one ear and bypass from second.

23. Train your eyes and ears to look for inspiration in everything.

24. Always carry your notebook or journal plus pencil/pen and write down what inspired you today.

25. As soon as you get up early in the morning? Thank someone immediately. Every day when it starts with thanksgiving to others? It changes the rest of the day.

26. Get disconnected with all those who spread violence (physical and thinking. Thinking violence is far eviler than a physical one) via talks, via writing and via films.

27. Get disconnected with those people who hate history and who hate to read the history books. All of them are cowards.

28. Get disconnected with those people who are doubtful about themselves and others.

29. Get disconnected with those people who hate the country wherein they are born.

30. Get disconnected with those people (especially male) who physically hurt plus bit weak people, ill people, sick people, girls/female and small kids. It is also called rape. Rape means the use of abusive power on others for others.

31. Get connected with performing artist in any form factor. There lies the opportunity of learning, unlearning & relearning.

32. Get connected with well educated, well trained and humanly designers trained from well behaved educational institutes.

33. Get connected with well educated, well trained and humanly engineers trained from well behaved educational institutes.

34. Come what may respect every female of any age whether you agree with her thinking or not. Do not hurt her in any form factor. If you do not like her, adore her and/or respect her for what so ever cause/reason? Get disconnected. But do not hurt her (physically, mentally or by thinking).

35. When you stay with friends, relatives, family members, etc.? Make sure you make your own bed. You wash your own clothes. You clean your own breakfast plate, lunch plate & dinner plate. Make sure you do not create any sound pollution while you are staying.

36. If you dislike dirt and garbage? Do not create in the first place. Also, learn how to deposit the dirt/garbage in the corporation’s garbage bag/box.

37. Never ever overtake any vehicle from the left side in India.

38. Never ever blow horn without cause and reason.

39. Never ever talk loudly on Mobile/Smartphone.

40. Never ever talk loudly in your home, in office, in meditation place, in praying places, etc.

41. Try to become self-independent, and self-disciplined as early as possible.

42. If you are given a sitting job for what so ever reason/cause? Get up after 90 minutes without fail. Do not give habits to your body and make it dumb and dumber.

43. If you hate doing homework for any task? At least don’t distract others and put hurdles.

44. If you hate silence? At least don’t create sound pollution for others.

45. Stop giving excuses and reasons for not completing the agreed task by you.

46. Stop finding faults in others. No one is perfect including yourself.

47. Stop criticizing others in private or in public places. No one is perfect including yourself.

48. Stop blaming yourself, luck, nature, god, parents, husband/wife, son/daughter, in-laws, country, government, etc. for your failure and for your laziness.

49. If you are not keen to become a leader? Be happy and become a follower and servant of others.

50. If you want power without responsibility and accountability/ You are a burden to mother earth and yourself too.

51. Do not blame political parties and politicians? You have no idea how difficult it is to join a political party and to become a political leader.

52. Stop following Indian entertaining filmy people. They are far more smart & intelligent (than you) and that is how they became filthy rich by inspiring you and by provoking you to spend your hard money on them. By following them in your own life? You are confirming to others how you are the biggest fool and an idiot on the planet.
