3 Secret Ways to Boost Engagement on Social Media

3 Secret Ways to Boost Engagement on Social Media

It’s no secret that great engagement = more sales, but what business owners struggle with is how to boost their engagement on social media and bring in more traffic on their websites, blogs, business pages and eventually their email lists.

If you’re someone who is new to the Social Media game or you have had trouble on this for years, I’ve outlined some tips that have helped me throughout the years in gaining more followers and developing a relationship with them.

1.    Consistency Is Key

If you know me, there is one thing I love talking about – consistency. This applies to everything in life and especially in business, but what does it mean to be consistent on social media? This means showing up when you say you will.

Telling your followers that you will go live at an exact time and date makes them look forward to seeing you and what you have to offer for that day. But if you’re someone who is consistent and still aren’t getting any traffic or views, that is because you are posting too little. Keep in mind that the less times you post, the less attention you will get from your viewers and the Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Youtube algorithm will just not prioritize your posts.

2.    Engage with your Audience

When you’re doing your lives or even posting in general, I would suggest asking specific questions such as “I think x, what do you think?” or “Comment below a, b or c”. This can help engage your audience and want to comment more whenever you post. More comments = more engagement.  This is especially good for the algorithm to take note of the people commenting on your posts, and boosting your future posts on their timeline

3.    Make Your Posts Visually Pleasing

We all know that the average human has a 5 second attention span and taking note that there are so many distractions on social media, you would want to grab their attention and keep it. What better way to do this than creating visuals that not only look good and is relatable but also make your audience feel good as well.

There is a certain psychology that comes with creating graphics, and if you’re not someone who is great at it there are so many resources online like Canva, Adobe Spark and even hiring someone from Fiverr to do it for you.
