3 seconds which could change your life

3 seconds which could change your life

"All it takes is three seconds of courage. Three seconds of insane bravery to change your life forever. From a pause in your step, to a stride across the room. From an ‘I’m too scared’ to a ‘What the hell and ‘its been done’ to ‘I can do it better’. Three seconds to re-wire your thought process. And turn your comfort zone into your catalyst. Sure, there will be a battle between brain and heart.

Your brain, the careful one, wanting to protect you. Whilst your heart, ever the optimist, begging you to go for it. And so hesitation is inevitable. But we can learn to expect, recognise and cast away that fear. As 95% of the time it’s totally irrational. Its unfounded thoughts created in a bid to keep you safe. But you see, ultimately, security leads to stagnation. To decay. But following your heart leads to wonderment. And truth. So allow your fear to point you towards your future triumph. Because the best memories are made in those three seconds of bravery.

Going in for that kiss. Clicking send on that email. Booking that flight. Exclaiming ‘I quit’. In one moment, with one courageous decision, your life can do a 180-degree turn. And the best part? The possibility for powerful change is always available! Because reality holds within it infinite opportunities for growth. Endless openings to transcend limited projections. And dive into the truth of your being.

Looked at the right way, life really is the most extraordinary platform. As with just one word your future self can end up thanking you forever. So say yes to something that scares you today. Say yes to the happiness you deserve. Say yes to life!"

A fantastic and thought-provoking piece by a close friend of mine, Zac Dempsey.

What a powerful reminder Putting ourselves first can feel challenging, but those three seconds can truly be transformation. Taking a moment to pause and breathe deeply helps center our thoughts and emotions. It’s amazing how just a few seconds can shift our perspective and reduce stress. Use those three seconds to set a clear intention for your day. What do you want to achieve? This simple practice can guide your actions and keep you focused on what truly matters. Don’t hesitate to use that brief moment to say no to something that doesn’t serve you. Protecting your time and energy is essential for personal growth and wellbeing. Remember, prioritizing yourself isn’t selfish it’s necessary for fostering resilience and enabling us to support others effectively. Thank you for sharing this inspiring message #SelfCare #Mindfulness #PersonalGrowth #Wellbeing #MentalHealth #IntentionalLiving #PutYourselfFirst
