3 RINGS WEDDING | TRADITIONAL RINGS OF MARRIAGE

Although it may seem simple to understand, the truth is that even today there is a lot of confusion about the function of each of the iconic wedding rings.

With that in mind, we want to help anyone who needs to understand everything about these three big ones that represent a promise of union, a sealed commitment of love and a symbol that reaffirms them. Each of them are given at key moments in a couple's life and of course have their own meaning.

If the design or symbolism of each ring is a little confusing to you, we have a brief introductory guide to the 3 piece wedding ring.

3 piece wedding ring set

The 3 piece his and hers wedding ring sets represent, within a traditional context, the most important stages in a couple's relationship, so each element has a special place and tells its own love story.

This does not mean that you "have" to follow a pre-established pattern, on the contrary. The designs are just a guide, usually preferred by couples because of their meanings, something you can take advantage of as you see fit.

But it never hurts to go through the traditional expectation of their use and the right moment for each one.

1. Engagement Rings

Engagement rings are usually the most intuitive of the bunch and are given at the time a marriage proposal is made, usually in romantic or representative settings for the couple. These rings are usually easily identified as they include a striking central gemstone, popularly a diamond, which may be accompanied by other smaller details.

The symbol of an engagement ring is charged with hope and promises of a bright future. The giver seeks to reflect that their love is indestructible and valuable (like a diamond). Some engagement rings may not have central diamonds, but beautiful colored gems that change the meaning of the design, but the idea remains the same.

2. Wedding rings

Wedding rings represent indelible bonds of a love consolidated at the altar. They are exchanged during the wedding ceremony. They are, the physical reminder that your partner has vowed to be there for you forever.

Since the couple is expected to wear their wedding bands at all times, as a symbol of commitment and togetherness, it is customary to purchase smooth, comfortable metal bands. There are many ways to make it work. Ladies often combine the styles of their wedding bands with those of their engagement rings to make them fit well together.

For men the way is free, they usually try to choose designs with certain similarities to the bride's, but with a touch of their own.

3. Eternity

Eternity rings are commemorative jewelry. They take place after marriage and function as a reaffirmation that the love that brought them together continues to do so even through the most difficult trials.

ethernity rings

Bands of precious metal completely covered by a succession of gems. They have no beginning or end, like the love they share.

They are the "happily ever after" of any love story. They are usually the ideal gift for the tenth (10th) anniversary, but are often used to commemorate other important dates, such as the birth of a first child or a renewal of vows.

Symbol of true love

The 3 piece wedding ring sets tell a classic story of true love. But that doesn't mean you can't make your own rules, remember that in the end, only you can decide the meaning of your beautiful jewelry.
