3 reasons you should be doubling down on organic content and Facebook ads right now!

#1 More Users

The number of users on Facebook and Instagram has skyrocketed due to everyone being in their quarantine bubbles at home.

This means that Facebook has more inventory of people to show ads to. It’s simple supply and demand. More supply with the same demand = a decrease in price.

Therefore you are getting more bang for your buck with money that you spend on ads right now

You also get more bang for your buck with time you spend to create more content as more people are consuming and more people will see it!

But the demand isn't the same… which leads me to reason number 2


#2 Decreased Demand

Us marketers know that we shouldn’t run ads for our clients (depending on the niche) during times like Black Friday or Christmas.

Why?

Because big brands are spending more than ever on Facebook ads to sell more stuff!

This means more demand and more competition which pushes the prices up to advertise on Facebook & Instagram

The opposite is happening right now… and it's a perfect storm

Businesses are cutting their spend on Facebook ads right now dramatically to save money

Which means less demand, less competition and therefore the price to advertise has dropped.

This coupled with the increased users means there is quite a good opportunity to run ads and get more bang for your buck

But you may be thinking... cool, I can spend a bunch of time and money making more content and putting out ads but there is too much uncertainty

My customers/clients aren’t spending as much money!

There are too many unknowns!

What’s the point of doing all this if I’m reaching people who aren’t going to be buying my product/service etc anyway?

Yes you are 100% right

Instead...

You need to be using this time to gather as much data as possible

Do it to grow your database and grow your audience while your money and organic content has more leverage on social media.

Then when the world turns back on you’ll be set up for success and either have grown your database of customers dramatically or increased the size of your fan base/audience for your business dramatically.

Couldn’t agree more mate. Although consumer behaviour is undeniably changing, dynamic marketers are able to leverage the available ad space and actually improve returns as a result.
