3 REASONS YOU MAY GET SICKER AFTER AGE 40

I think I have found a better reason why “a fool at 40 is a fool forever.” This English idiom implies that any person who displays any form of immaturity or ‘foolishness’ after 40 years of living on this earth, has no more hope of getting wiser, better or more mature thereafter. This fact became more glaring when I was examining the scientific evidences which show that our bodies begin to ‘fall apart’ from the age of 45.

 Please, may I know how old you are right now? And do you know that your health would begin to deteriorate or fall apart from the age of 40-45? Okay, you know now!

 Well, it’s assumed, rightly or wrongly, that by the time an individual clocks 40, he or she ought to have known many things about life, including how to manage health. Yes, you ought to have come to grips with that fact and therefore prepare yourself to halt the negative consequences of living life as if you are still younger.

 Now, here are 3 inescapable reasons you may get sicker after age 40, starting from age 45. Personally, I consider myself very fortunate, in fact, greatly favoured by God to have started preparing my body to cope with the normal health issues which occur after the age of 40. Please read my earlier articles on how my diet lifestyle change saved me from an early grave and on the need to maintain acid-alkaline balance as you grow older, plus other relevant topics.

 Well, aging is what nobody can prevent. It is an unavoidable or inevitable natural human experience. However, science tells us how we can slow down the process or delay it by employing certain processes. These include diet lifestyle change, using certain supplements and engaging in certain physical exercises that help the body to remain strong. These prevent the body from wearing out faster and sustain it for longer period of time. For your information, I use only natural supplements, including natural alkaline water to keep my body in optimal health condition.

 REASONS WHY YOU MAY GET SICKER AFTER AGE 40

 1.   Research studies reveal that the need to raise our body alkalinity or pH increases with age. In other words, younger individuals have more alkaline bodies than the elderly. For instance, from age 0 to 25, the body maintains greater alkalinity of 7.7 on the pH scale. It is from this age bracket we get the 20% of people the World Health Organization (WHO) tells us they may not need a doctor.

 2.   From age 25 to 45, the body starts to struggle to maintain the acid-alkaline balance, as the pH of the body begins to decline and hovers between 7.0 and below. Our medical people call it homeostasis. In other words, when your body falls below 7.0, which is the neutral position, the body becomes acidic and disease may occur. This is the reason we are advised to change our diet lifestyle at this stage of our lives, to more alkaline-forming foods.

3.   Now, what happens from age 45 and above, is that those who remain more acidic for a longer period because they do not consume extra alkaline-forming substances, like alkaline diets or alkaline water, would begin to develop and suffer one form of disease or the other. This is the problem of growing older, as everything in our bodies – the brain, the eyes, the kidneys, etc. could become distressed.

As I continue to expand my knowledge about natural health methods, I have come to realize the reason elderly individuals need more alkaline-forming foods and why they need alkaline water supplementation, as part of their health maintenance regimen. For me, the above facts validate the claim that alkaline diet and alkaline water may prevent Alzheimer’s disease and other brain degenerative diseases. In addition, alkaline dieters have less chances of developing cancers because they eat more alkaline-forming foods and drink natural alkaline water.

Personally, I know that eating more alkaline-forming foods and drinking natural alkaline water over the years has helped my internal organs to remain healthy. Our senior medical doctor had actually asked my wife and myself what our secret was when we were routinely checked during our community health screening weekend. And we’re among the senior citizens in the community. Of course, the best way to slow down the aging process is to ensure that your internal organs are always healthy. Diet lifestyle change is therefore a non-negotiable issue for those above 40, more so, for those above 60.
