3 reasons why your Big Bang legacy replacement will most likely fail miserably!
I have been in IT since early 80ties and I learned to hate Big Bang replacement projects, because they often fail and are not much fun to work on. But most of all it is horrible to spend significant time on writing code that will never go into production! My thoughts on Big Bang replacement projects can be find here.

6 年Sooo much recognition..... And one more, when replacing legacy systems, the people who build/know it are either gone or not up-to-date with new technologies, thus crippling any improvements that could be made in the transition. When rebuilding "old stuff" you still get old stuff, perhaps only a bit faster and able to run on modern machines.....
