3 Reasons why the Vectra Culture would be best for you.

Recruiting the right talent to assist businesses in reaching it's goals.
My journey at Vectra started off with a Smile.
I have been working in the recruitment industry for a number of years and this has set me up to recognise what good and bad company cultures look like.
A few months ago, an ex-colleague of mine reached out to me. She was working at Vectra and a role had opened up that she thought I would be suitable for. After chatting with her about it, I couldn’t help but notice how happy she seemed. She said to me that Vectra was one of the best companies she had worked for because it had such a positive company culture.
I was offered the role, and now that I have been at the company for a few months, I’ve had the chance to experience the culture myself. Here are a few elements of Vectra’s culture that really stand out to me, and, based on my experience as a recruiter, why I’m excited about introducing new people to our work environment.
We work with a “boss” that is one of the employees
Within the last few months working at Vectra, I have been able to witness one of the biggest statements that were made in my interview. As Wynand told me, “I am not the ”boss”, I am one of the developers.” You walk in and there isn’t this stigma around him, he sits amongst everyone and an added bonus he makes jokes when you are having a chat. It’s hardly ever that you come across a “Boss” like this.
We work hard and we play hard
Have you ever felt so at home in a team that when you have to put in extra hours you really don't mind? That's how I feel at Vectra because I work with people who are highly driven and committed to our company's mission. On top of that though, the company recognises when we work hard and make an effort to acknowledge the extra effort. We have the ability to say when we are feeling burnt out and the team makes every effort to help people rest when they need to so that they can continue doing their best work.
On top of that, the company also organises regular team get-togethers so that we can socialise outside of work. This is great for relationship building with my teammates, and when you feel like you're working with friends, it makes getting the job done all the more fun. We had our first get together during corona and everyone had the best time, mingling amongst everyone and having a conversation with your colleague like you have known them forever.
We have the option to work from home
Even before COVID-19 struck, Vectra had a policy that allows everyone to work from home when they need to.
This made a real difference for me because, as a mom, I have multiple responsibilities to take care of and there are often not enough hours in the day to get them done. It also means that I have more time to spend with my daughter during the day and get to take part in her life – even if that’s helping her with a puzzle for five minutes in between meetings.
These are just a few elements of the culture at Vectra that make me really happy to be part of this team. Working in an environment like this, where I can have a good relationship with my “boss”, meaningful interactions with my teammates and the opportunity to enjoy other areas of my life outside of work make me feel positive that I will be able to grow in my career – and enjoy doing it! This is one culture or work environment that I believe in and trust. You would be at no fault to join this amazing company.
