3 Reasons Video MUST Be in Your Marketing Strategy

Are you wondering if you can skip out on the video wave as an entrepreneur? Maybe you’re not comfortable on camera or feel like your company doesn’t need to be active on video like the younger crowd.?

Well, that couldn’t be further from the truth. If you’re still neglecting video, you’re neglecting your visibility and the advancement of your brand.?

The good news is that I’m going to cover three aspects of video marketing that are sure to change your mind and help you simplify the video marketing piece of your content strategy.?

Let’s start by addressing some facts:

“More than 99% of people who use video for marketing say they'll continue using video in 2021. And 96% of people will either increase (67%) or maintain (29%) their spend. 85% of people would like to see more video from brands in 2021.” -?

So, your competition is already using video, and they’ll continue to do so for the rest of 2021, and the intended audience actually wants to see more video content.?

What do you think that means for your company if you don’t follow up and give the people what they want?

I know going live and planning and editing video content seem scary. Still, it’s only going to lead to a massive increase in engagement, visibility, and any other good things you can think about as it relates to your marketing goals.?

Reason #1: Video Makes You Personable and Authentic?

There’s no shortage of scammers these days, and your audience knows that. Even if a company has 50k followers on Instagram, it doesn’t mean they provide a quality product or service, so going on video and explaining the process and value behind your business will establish trust with the target audience.?

On video, your audience can see your face and connect with you. Even if you as the CEO have a member of your team on video instead of you, that’s better than not filming at all.?

Remember, as humans we want to buy and support other humans - not random phantom companies that we are unsure of.?

Reason #2: Video Boosts Your Engagement, Like Crazy

Whether you’re on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, or another platform video produces higher engagement (likes, comments, shares, website clicks) than other types of static posts.?

The increase in engagement is partially due to the ability to relate to someone on a personal level. When your audience can see the face behind the brand, they can relate to you better, on a human level.?

TikTok and Instagram Reels are so popular right now because they’re quick and entertaining. Creating both short videos and long videos is the best way to see what your audience likes.?

*Always remember to add a call to action in your video caption and when you’re signing off at the end of the video. This is a quick reminder to your audience that you want them to take a specific action.?

Reason #3: Video is Being Pushed By Social Platforms

?

Social media platforms are smart. They understand that it brings them more success if they keep you on the platform for a longer time.?

That’s the reason you’ll see all social media platforms across the board pushing video content.?

These platforms also pay attention to each other, so when one platform has success with video or a new feature within their video app, the others will follow and look for ways to include it in their platform.?

Video is profitable for your business through both organic content and advertisements. So, don’t look at video as a significant stressor in your marketing strategy. Have fun, be authentic, and your potential customers will start noticing your brand.?
