Reason#1 - Diversification - a powerful concept in investing and how it applies to your marketing.
Both LinkedIn and Facebook have rules that may lead to some issues that will impact your prospecting. Imagine you not being able to use Facebook Ads due to some restrictions and then having LinkedIn messaging work can be a good backup plan. I had this problem few times before and having a campaign that we can focus is very helpful.
Reason#2 - Efficiency - how to use both time and money efficiently in your marketing.
LinkedIn is more cost effective but requires more time per day to drive human conversation, generate interest that leads a prospect wanting to speak with you on a call.
Facebook is more time effective but requires some budget and you can spend $10 per day on ad budget and less than 5 minutes per day to get 12-15 leads per month. Now you saved yourself 15+ hours of work compared to LinkedIn to get few hot leads.
Reason#3 - Targeting - how to take advantage of two different and powerful targeting strategies.

LinkedIn is great to target a specific type of leads such as business owners with 5+ employees, 401(k) or RRSP opportunities for someone that changed jobs, etc.
Facebook is great to get people with life events such as nearing retirement, inheritance, etc. that you simply cannot easily find on LinkedIn.
Lead generation can be really difficult and social media prospecting is becoming more and more difficult. The success comes from mastering few methods and focusing instead of doing multiple social media methods at surface level.
