??? Quantum computing “as a service” is an emerging technology that is revolutionizing the how companies can operate by solving complex business problems.
??? IBM, Google, Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, and D-Wave are among the companies that have made significant progress in the development of quantum computers, and they offer QaaS to clients on a subscription basis, via the Cloud.
??? This allows companies to start using Quantum alongside Classical computers in a hybrid format. The advantage of hybrid computing is evident in artificial neural networks (ANNs) or deep-learning (DL) algorithms used in fields such as image recognition and drug design.
??? With just a few qubits, hybrid systems achieve better performance over classical algorithms in speed and accuracy by using simulated quantum processors.

??? Beauty conglomerate Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) and Microsoft have launched AI Innovation Lab, a virtual program in which Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI service will help develop ways for ELC’s portfolio of more than 20 brands to leverage generative AI.
??? One area where ELC and Microsoft want to use GenAI involves finding new ways to respond faster to social trends and consumer demands. They have developed chatbot using Azure OpenAI Services to help teams navigate and leverage ELC’s product database and claim data.
??? ELC brands thus can launch locally-relevant campaigns faster than before, with more streamlined marketing campaigns. Teams can type in a query to pull up information on what counterparts in other regions have done and then replicate it.
??? ELC is already familiar with AI. It has an internal task force dedicated to leading the business through the AI DigiTransform, overseeing GenAI governance, and ensuring AI is being used ethically and responsibly.
??? ELC also works with Google Cloud where Google’s GenAI handles real-time consumer sentiment and feedback monitoring. With Google Cloud, ELC develops custom targeting and go-to-market strategies. With Microsoft, it uses GenAI to enhance internal processes and build better customer relationships.

AR superimposes computer-generated images over real-world imagery, such as one’s reflection in a digital mirror or through a cellphone camera lens. This allows retailers to “virtually fit” customers in seconds while creating an engaging experience.
??? Zero10 installs AR mirrors in-store and in shop window displays. Early adopters are Gucci, Dior, Tommy Hilfiger, JD Group, Macy’s, Disney, and Coach. At one Coach store, a performance comparison between the AR Storefront and a traditional display window revealed a 4.4x higher engagement rate for the virtual try-on experience.
??? AR try-on technology allows customers to interact with products in-store using large AR Mirrors. Customers can engage with digital items, supported with special effects through AR enhancements.
??? In addition to the try-on feature, brands also can display product information or prices on the screen to increase its sales relevance. Companies are getting a 9x increase in customer engagement for virtual try-on mirrors.
