1. Stop trying to organize and plan every second of the day.
IT DOESN'T WORK THIS WAY.
But I guess you already know that, right?
Well, there are always new tasks that are showing up out of nowhere only to mess up your planning.
So you need to set the rules of what type of tasks you are going to plan and actually put in your schedule.
SYSTEMS is the keyword here.
It is very easy to side-track from the plan and your scheduling when you haven't left any flexibility to your timeline.
Depending on the kind of tasks and activities you have for your business, determine which of those will get into the schedule and make a system for the rest.
2. Wake up EARLIER!
Yes, you heard right.
If you don't have time during the day to go the extra mile then wake up earlier...
Ideally, set a specific time for you to wake up so it is stable, otherwise, you will NEVER create a structure.
So stop spending the nights watching Netflix and Youtube and be proactive instead. Go to sleep early and wake up early.
Funnily enough, if you do this, you will find out that after you have an ideal day, having got a lot of work done, you will probably be so hyped that you will not feel very tired because you will have built momentum.
3. Think about what you are doing more than once and create a SYSTEM or a procedure.
That's actually a game-changer for everybody that has tried it.
In the Air Force, one of the first things you must learn by heart are the SOPs - aka the Standard Operational Procedures; and you should not stop studying these procedures unless you could point out the entire procedure as fast as you are replying to the question "what's your name?".
So for every process that you do, write it down and create a system so you can repeat it over and over again in the exact same way.
That way:
- It will be easier for you to follow
- It will make sure that you won't forget anything and the best part is that
- It will be easier to delegate it ??
Because if you already have a system for it - a specific procedure - all you have to do is to hand it over to your new employee and you are done with it.
You now have time to focus ON the business again rather than having to train everyone in the business.
