Helping Married Business Owners Thrive in Tandem—Scale Your Business Without Sacrificing Your Family Life
Did you know that there is no direct correlation between the amount of time one puts into the business and its success? Yet we fall into the trap of feeling the need to work longer hours and thinking about business when "off the clock."
I did the same thing early in my consulting career.
Many sleepless nights were had until I got tired of being tired and not being able to be present for Kay Lee. So I decided to do something different.
I still wanted to grow the business but do it with less time being spent on it.
With the help of my wife, we put some processes in place to grow in a healthier way. We've since passed this along to our married entrepreneur clients and now we want to pass it along to you.
3 Pillars For Business Growth and Freedom
1. Time - Ensure you and your team spend the proper amount of time on productive high-growth activities.
2. Money - Making sure you maintain healthy profit margins and tracking the return on investment for all business expenses
3. Performance - Assigning metrics to business activities in order to improve outcomes
Monitoring and improving in these three areas will position your business to grow while giving you back some precious time.
I invite you to participate in this discussion with us LIVE on Tuesday, March 14 at 8 am PST for our last Office Hours session.
Quick Teaser
Here is one example of how monitoring time, money, and performance can lead to healthy growth.
Early in my consulting career, I was spending a lot of time and money on marketing to expand my audience. After evaluating my sales performance I saw that my close rates for new clients were 3x higher when it was a lead that came from within my existing network as opposed to the marketing I did to a cold audience.
Marketing to my existing network took more of my time making personal connections but very little money. Whereas marketing to a cold audience took more money.
I shifted my focus to marketing my network and cut back on trying to reach a cold audience.
This resulted in more leads and closes. Even though it took a little more time for me in terms of marketing, I was more efficient on sales calls due to the higher close rate.
Overall, it was a time and money-saving move that achieved better results.
