The 3 People You Need For Success
In order to be successful in this thing we call life you really only need 3 people. Obviously take this with a grain of salt, it takes a village to raise an individual but for this scenario bare with me. The three people you need in your life are as follows:
Someone that grounds you: This person is the one that will keep you humble and provide a sense of stability to you when things may be a bit frantic.
Someone that challenges you: This person is the one that will check you when you aren't being accountable or keeping up with the standard that they know you are capable of.
Someone that drives you: This person is someone that continues to motivate you and serves as an example of how you can build and level up in your own life. This person is an engine.
Take some time to reflect and figure out who those people are in your life.
TTS : Content
Tip: Be Consistent- As simple as it sounds, being consistent with content is difficult. Over time though, the more consistent you are, the greater the compound effect of the benefits of your content. If you post your newsletter once a week, then post it once a week. If you do a daily podcast, the power is in the consistency of doing that podcast daily. I can't tell you how many times I lost momentum because I wasn't consistent.
Tool: Chat GPT for content ideas, if you aren't implementing AI to help streamline your processes and be more efficient, I suggest you start
Strategy: Content Batching- This is the content version of meal prep. Instead of cooking every day pick one day of the week where you make the necessary content that you have to do for your overall content strategy. This allows you to have more time to work on other projects but provide analysis on potential current event topics without feeling overwhelmed with the content you already have penciled in to make.
Tips From Teachers
Earn Your Leisure are building something special. They came onto the scene around Covid and have shown no signs of slowing down. Here some tips, I've been able to learn from watching them.
The Team Is The Star: Every member within the Earn Your Leisure organization knows their role and plays it well. While Rashad and Troy are the faces of the brand, the organization is way bigger than just them. Understanding that the team is the star and no one should have egos, allows them to grow at a rapid rate.

Strike While The Iron Is Hot: EYL have done a great job of capitalizing on their moment to turn it into a movement. By the time you try to copy and paste what they are doing, they are onto to the next level. They understand the importance of being trailblazers in a new space when folks are lurking in the bushes. They've done a great job of bringing things to life maybe even before they're ready.
Vertical Integration: They've built a stand alone platform that doesn't rely on anyone else to function. While they have a heavy presence on social media they still have created a funnel that gives them direct access to their audience and customer base. From a content perspective they've diversified and expanded their offerings and reach as well. The list goes on and on, from a business perspective they have done a great job building a conglomerate within their own ecosystem.

POV - My business partner Adrian Camargo burned the boats and took the dive into full time entrepreneurship. This feels like added pressure because when we first started I had soccer and he had his job as "safety nets", now that we are both committed into this space, I'm excited to see how we take the next step. Exciting times ahead!!
Shoot Your Shot- Soccer is here to stay. As brands continue to slowly integrate themselves into the soccer market, there needs to be an added focus to minority communities that are just as big of fans of the world's game. If you are a brand, company that is interested in soccer x content x marketing x social impact, don't hesitate to reach out.
