3 Organic Social Media Strategies
Let's be honest, paid ads are an important part of growing your business.?
But…if you're just starting out and money is tight, you need to be extremely careful about using your money.?
If you have some social media accounts to use but don't have extra cash yet, social media platforms are oceans of prospects!
Let me share 3 things you must do with organic content until you're ready to invest in paid advertising.
Story & Process
-Why you started
Sharing why you started your business really connects with people because you're sharing something personal that resonates with people!
-How you started
Another great way to grow your brand and create connections with people is by sharing stories of how you started.
What did you have to go through to get where you're at? Who helped you? Storytell that process and people will be intrigued.
Tip: You can create a series of "Part 1 How We Started, Part 2, etc."
-Behind the scenes
People love to know what goes on with your business every day or what you actually do.
Showing them the process of creating your product allows people to go, "Hey, did you know they actually make it like this?" to someone else and share that knowledge with others.
Education
-How to?
Giving people "How to" tutorials gives them something to watch in case they need to know or if they just want to see how something is done.
Wouldn't you want to know "how to make $1,000,000 in a month"?
I'm not saying I'll do that for you; of course, that's something you should never promise someone, but it's an exaggerated example.

Something like "How to make a gluten-free pizza in 15 min" in a 13-second video may sound more appealing to someone trying to be healthy.
-Did You Know?
Did you know that 21.5% of businesses fail in the first year? Doesn't that sound less intimidating than 50% failing in 5 years?
The 21.5% statistic would be perfect "did you know" content to use for a motivational business coach sharing his content on organic social media platforms.
-Tips
Quick unique tips are always helpful, especially if they relate to your brands' products.
For example, if you sold makeup, a quick tip caught on camera in 15 seconds or less would be a different routine.
Tip (Our Quick Tip To You): Look at your competitor's content and see what's working for them and mimic it with your brand's touch & feel.
Entertainment
-Trends
Trends are very come and go, so you have to hop on them as soon as you see them.?
Sometimes they're not relatable to your business but you can always participate in them somehow.
If something like the ice bucket challenge ever comes around again, don't miss out!
These are some of the basic forms of content anyone can try to do for their organic social media channels.
You can make it long-form (Youtube video length) or turn it into short form (7 to 15 seconds); it depends on your business.
Don't feel overwhelmed. There are a lot of platforms out there and plenty of styles of videos to post.
So what I would do if I didn't have enough to spend on paid ads is use all these free platforms (if possible).
Then choose one style of video that I gave you above, and test, test, test.
When you find one doing good, find out what made it perform that way and duplicate it for the rest of your content.
You can always see what's working for your competitors too!
