3 of my Favorite (+ Simple) Nutrition Tips!
Jana Rose Stewart, M.A.S.S.
By day, I’m a dynamic and results-driven account executive; by night, a wellness entrepreneur helping others turn their health passions into income-generating ventures. Sales is my game, and I always seal the deal!
Constantly changing and conflicting diet advice and an over saturation of so many different “new and best” diets make it quite overwhelming to navigate nutrition these days!
My goal is to help you sort through all of the information and mis-information you read and hear online.?
With over 20? years of health, fitness, nutrition and lifestyle experience, think of me as your go-to resource to ask fitness and nutrition questions.
Below are three of my favorite (and SIMPLE) yet effective nutrition tips.?
? Read the label
Most processed foods have a lot of unnecessary added sugars, preservatives, and other chemicals for flavor and color.? These additives are unnecessary and can be detrimental to your health and wellness.? Choose whole foods (foods that are sold in their natural state) or food items that list ingredients that are easy to read and pronounce. If you can’t pronounce it, don’t buy it.
? Moderation beats deprivation
Our bodies require a balance of fats, vitamins, minerals, proteins, and carbs. (That’s right. Despite the bad rap that carbs continue to get… your body actually needs some carbohydrates for energy.)? Every macronutrient serves a purpose to help your body function at an optimal level.? Moderating amounts and balancing your body’s needs is the key to a sustainable and beneficial relationship with your diet.
? One size does not fit all
We all have different bodies, schedules, and goals.? It is important to define your personal health and wellness goals so that you can develop a nutrition plan and build healthy habits that fit into your life. ?
