3 Minutes to Success: Making the Most of the Discomfort Zone
Last week, I attended another stage of the training provided by High Growth, focused on improving our sales engine. Today, I want to highlight the most impactful results and key takeaways from this event, which not only brought valuable insights on how to maximize outcomes but also gave me the opportunity to hear inspiring stories that reinforced the importance of networking and the courage to step into discomfort to achieve success.
High Growth meetings have two main objectives: to help companies like Manusis4 structure an efficient sales engine that delivers consistent results and to foster a high-quality networking environment that encourages professional alliances. By pushing participants into discomfort zones, these events challenge them to grow and overcome their limitations.
During the event, several entrepreneurs shared how they built strong relationships, overcame challenges, and faced uncomfortable situations in pursuit of growth. The moment that stood out the most for me was the talk by Ricardo Bellino, a visionary entrepreneur who shared the incredible story of how he convinced Donald Trump to invest in his real estate project in Brazil.
Bellino had the bold idea of creating “Trump Realty Brazil,” a luxury development that would associate the prestigious Trump name with the Brazilian real estate market. He believed this partnership would be a powerful combination to attract international investment and attention.
Knowing that Trump was highly selective and had an extremely limited schedule, Bellino managed to secure a meeting in New York—but for only three minutes. This challenge alone was daunting, but he was determined to make the most of the opportunity. To do so, Bellino crafted a presentation that was concise, direct, and strategically designed to impress.

During the meeting, he started by emphasizing the immense potential of the Brazilian real estate market and how the Trump brand could achieve unprecedented success in the country. With charisma, confidence, and a crystal-clear approach, he conveyed his vision. The impact was so powerful that Trump didn’t even need the full three minutes to make a decision. In just a minute and a half, he approved the idea. Bellino returned to Brazil with Trump’s signature and a $500 million investment to turn the project into reality.
The success of this venture was the result of several key factors: Bellino’s persistence and belief in his idea, his ability to communicate with clarity and confidence, and his strategic vision of leveraging the Trump brand as a competitive differentiator.
This story deeply resonated with me, reinforcing the importance of having the courage to build valuable connections, seek out opportunities, and step out of our comfort zones. It was a truly positive challenge that inspired not only me but everyone present at the event.
Motivated by this experience, I’m taking another step toward professional excellence by participating in a mentorship with Ricardo Bellino himself. I can’t wait to see the results this will bring!
