3 MAIN TIPS TO LOOK INTO FOR GOING FOR A GREAT WATCH
1. Choose the right type of watch for the right usage
2. Choose the right size that fits your proportion
3. Choose the right design that blends well with your wardrobe
Between men and women, the former seems to have very limited options available when it comes to styling accessories. But that is still up for debate, especially when fashion is ever-evolving. Among the options there are today, one timeless piece that will never go out of style is the watch. Luxury watch or not, it is a staple piece for many men because of its functionality and classic design.
When you’re shopping for a watch, do spend time accessing your lifestyle first. This is because a good watch should be able to accommodate your lifestyle, whether you’re an active person or otherwise. If you’re always on the go and active, consider something more durable and scratchproof. On the other hand, if you’re looking for an elegant piece to wear to the office, then opt for something dressier. Under these two broad categories, watches are actually categorized into dress watches, dive watches, field watches, aviator watches and racing watches. Depending on the purpose of the watch, choose accordingly.
Then, you should carefully choose the right-sized watch that fits your proportion. In general, a watch that is 45-millimeter in diameter will be considered large, 40-millimeter in diameter is considered medium and anything from 35-millimetre and below in diameter is considered small. When scouting for your watch, it is best if you could measure the circumference of your wrist beforehand and try them on to see how well it fits. If your wrist is approximately 7.5 inches in circumference, I would suggest you pick a watch with a large case diameter. Please bear in mind that your watch must be able to be slit into your shirt cuffs for your formal workwear. If it's not, it means either the watch is too big or the cuffs are too small for you.
As an accessorizing item, you want your watch to blend well into your wardrobe. While it is almost impossible for one watch to suit and match all your different apparel and every daily need, you should still start by getting one classic piece, then add new pieces into your collection later.
