1. Be crystal clear on your messaging.?

Whether you're building a new site or just updating and older one, it's important to be crystal clear on your messaging. Knowing who your target audience is and what problem you solve for them is what you need to convey on your site. Visitors need to know immediately that they are in the right place for getting resolution to whatever problem it is that they have.?So, before you start designing, make sure you understand exactly what it is you need to say.?

2. Be open to the evolution of design

We actually went through several different designs (and platforms) before settling on this final version. Website design is not always a straightforward process so be sure to stay open to the evolution of its design.?With each version, we would go through it with a fine toothed comb and consider parts that may not be quite right. We kept changing until we felt that "spark" to know we'd landed on the right one.?

3. It looks different on every screen

One thing that we had to be very mindful of was the fact that the website looks different on every size screen. So just because it looks great on yours it doesn't mean that it's going to look great everywhere. Make sure that you test it on multiple devices to know that your site is looking great everywhere. You'd hate to have a visitor have a negative experience.??
