Hey there! This is Craig.
Hope you enjoyed your weekend last week.
It’s cloudy outside and it's 28 degrees in New York.
I have my peacoat and wool hat on as I'm typing this.
Baby brother is off to school and Mom is walking around.
Today, I'm going to talk about 3 lessons I learned in December.
The room temperature this time is 52 degrees this time. Not 62 degrees from last week.
Can't wait to share what I learned! Are you?
Let's go.
December had a lot of experiences and lessons to learn.
Here are three lessons I learned this month:
Lesson #1: Be grateful for the opportunity to volunteer and make a difference.
Last Saturday, I volunteered to help out in the pantry called Christmas on the Boulevard.
It's an event to give out toys and food to families while providing holiday cheer to the community.
City Harvest & Feed the Children delivered food to give to families in need.
There were a lot of families out there on the lines with the kids.
While I lifted a 40-pound box of potatoes and helped the women out, Mom waved at me.

The sound that says: "Welcome! You got mail!"
Someone who volunteered got the "You Got Mail!" voice to say "You Got Voice Mail!" on her phone.
Had a great time and enjoyed speaking with the volunteers.
Lesson #2: Learn what went wrong to do better next time.
Last week, my 8-week streak of over 100 comments on my text posts ended.
I screwed up the hook and had 49 comments on my text post.
Had an email on Friday at 2:45pm from my accountability partner.
She wanted me to go back to my last two posts, and rewrite the improved hooks.
She wants the improved hooks emailed to her by Monday.
A homework assignment. No problem.
I emailed her the improved hooks on Sunday evening at 8:32pm.
Yesterday's text post now has 70 comments so far. An improvement of 21 comments from last week's text post.
Lesson #3: Be thankful for people who thought about you.?
A friend of mine mailed me a card last week.
It said:
"Dear Craig and family, Bless you and your family at Christmas and always,
Love Donna"
Thank the people who helped you this year. Let them know.
They appreciate it.
