Mom is outside with baby bro who is going to school.
My package of pastured-raised eggs is on the living room table.
I'm expecting a package of ghee today.
Sprouted oats are on the kitchen stove ready to eat.
And got a text for tomorrow's manicure appointment.
It's cloudy outside — 60 degrees here in New York.
Let's talk about 3 lessons in October.
------------------------------
There is one thing you may not talk about often.
The lessons you learned for the month.
There are different types of lessons:
1. What you accomplished (for yourself)
2. What people taught or said to you (for your growth)
3. What you picked up (from your mistakes or your journey)
There are other lessons out there.
Look for what is important to you.
For October, here are the 3 lessons:
1. Volunteering to help register people at a Men's Conference.
I asked if I could help by email.
Got a yes.
It was guiding the men downstairs during the conference.
What I did was this:
Registering people and checking them off the master list.
To be honest with you, it's about the people.

There is more to life than numbers on a list.
It's who you impact.
The people thanked me for helping them.
And I'm looking forward to volunteering in 2025.
2. "Ask yourself hard questions."
This is what a leader said to me at the same Men's Conference on a Saturday.
Look within to find within.
Asking hard questions gives you the answers you need to hear.
To be the best version means asking questions you are afraid to ask.
It takes honesty.
3. There are people who want the best for you.
Went to a tailor last Saturday to pick up the tailored chinos.
Chinos for those who don't know are trousers made from cotton.
Going to a tailor is tough because you want to find the right one.
It has to be someone who wants the best for your clothes.
In my case:
The pants leg needed to be longer.
When I tried it on for the tailor, it was perfect.
I paid $25 to get my pants tailored and tipped him $20.
It shows you value the tailor's work.
The next visit will be with dress shirts.
See you in the next one!
Talk soon,
Craig
P.S. Do you think sharing lessons is good? For me, it's something we need to do more of. You?
