Hi there! It's Craig.
It’s sunny outside and it's 35 degrees in New York.
My mother?and baby brother are awake.
Today, we talk about three lessons learned from a LinkedIn message.
Ready to rock and roll? Let's go!
------------------------------
Last Thursday, I received a message.
A message with the subject line:
"Craig nice posts and comments"
The interesting part is he shared three points.
The Craig Comment Format (CCF).
Here are the three lessons he shared with me:
Lesson #1: "Know your strengths and weaknesses and recognize all your mistakes and wrongs to yourself and others. So you don’t repeat them and or learn how not to"
This is wise advice to know and learn from your mistakes.
You won't know or notice what you did.

Learn what you are strong at and what you need help with.
Lesson #2: "Be Strong. Stand up for yourself and others no matter how dangerous or difficult."
I remember a time in junior high school when I was bullied.
Two?girls were kind enough to stand up for me.
I remain friends with them to this day. One of them sent a voice message. She wished me a Happy Birthday last year.
No matter what, stand up for others who can't stand up for themselves.
People will be grateful for what you did for them.
Lesson #3: "Be kind to others. (as the career path you are in. I think this is a given and with the first two in tow before this when you are kind people can’t take advantage of you )"
Kindness isn't a weakness; it is a strength from your heart.
Be kind. If people aren't kind to you, be kind.?
What I learned in hospitality is to be kind to customers.?Be kind to the people who helped you.
To recap:
1. Recognize your strengths and weaknesses so you don't repeat them.
2. Be strong and stand up for yourself and others no matter how bad.
3. Be kind to others.

1 年??Another way to learn from your connections is to ask in a DM: “What are you learning today?” This helps the connection share with you what they will learn. You can make a post on what you learned during the week.

1 年Thank you for these lessons Craig. Being kind doesn't mean we can't or shouldn't stand up to ourselves or others. We can be both. I see a lot of harsh comments on digital media. Sometimes even a comment can affect someone. So it's important to be kind. Have a great weekend.
