Mom went downstairs to turn on the heat.
Baby bro and middle bro are both sleeping.
My food delivery is being delivered soon.
And my two salads (apples, broccoli sprouts, and walnuts) are in the kitchen.
It's cloudy. 35 degrees here in New York.
Let's talk about 3 lessons from January.
------------------------------
This month had a lot of highs:
Hitting 20k followers. Had a Zoom call with a connection. Crushed a goal before May.
Here are 3 lessons learned from January:
1. Manage your time and take your time.
Have you noticed how quickly?this month went by?
Here's why it's important to manage and take your time:
There was a slide deck post delayed from December 2023 to January 2024.
It's the first slide deck I've posted to hit 1,000+ reactions.
Time is a currency you don't want to waste.
2. Connect with your connections.
Had a Zoom call with a connection.
This was on Saturday, January 13th.
At 2:30am EST in the morning.

She is from Indonesia and I'm from New York in the United States.
One of the lessons shared from a Zoom call was this:
"1. Be patient with who you talk to."
A person in the comments mentioned this interesting gem:
"lesson 1: This could have been an email"
A person in the comments did say this.
My friend asked me which platform to chat:
LinkedIn video call, Zoom, Or Gmeet?
Zoom was chosen because it's comfortable and familiar.
The point is to get to know your connections.
People want to know you outside of social media.
Connect with your connections to improve each other's lives.
3. Be honest with your goals and yourself.
My theme this year is saying yes to the right things.
Saying yes means saying no to protect your time.
It's focusing on what's important.
You know yourself better than anyone.
Believe it.
Plan it.
Do it.
