3 lessons from August

August 29th, 2024

Mom is making breakfast for the family.

Baby bro is on the bus.

And I got a text for tomorrow's manicure and pedicure appointment.

It's cloudy — 70 degrees here in New York.

Let's talk about 3 lessons learned in August.

------------------------------

This month had a few highs:

Earned a 2nd yellow community badge on August 6th for Job Search Strategies.

Had a Zoom call with a fellow connection on August 3rd.

Bought a new computer and it arrived on August 2nd.

Here are 3 lessons learned from August:

1. Appreciate where you started.

It's okay to remind yourself how far you have come.

Compare yourself to your last few months.

Write down any signs of growth.

For example:

I'm less than 100 followers away from 25,000 followers.

And 2 articles away from writing 150 articles.

No sign of growth is too small to write down.

Write what you learned.

Write what you are learning next.

You stay focused on what you have to do.

2. Thank the people who helped you.

If you are reading this or any article I wrote for the first time:

Thank you.

Thank you for reading and sharing your thoughts in the comments.

It means so much.

3. Celebrate your wins.

Yes, it took 10 months to earn the second badge.

The real reward is sharing my journey to help.

When you share your journey, you share what helped you win.

No win is too small to celebrate.

Write down your wins.

Document them.

Look back.

You see how far you came from the start of your journey.

P.S. What was one lesson you learned in August?

The lessons we learnt in the month of august are; 1. There are good people who are willing to grow with you if you will create a sane environment for them to work in. We recently moved into our office to begin hybrid operations, and so far, we are glad we took that step because of the amazing people who work with us. 2. Our belief in starting anyhow was strengthened because of the results we got in August. We are firm believers in "YOU CAN START ANYHOW!" You don't need the best tools to start. You only need the right mindset to start. 3. Rebranding is necessary for all brands. Our present rebranding process has helped us to better understand our core values and how we can serve our clients and audience better. Thank you, Craig Davis for this. We'll love to read more from you.
