“I want to resemble a sort of liquid light which stretches beyond visibility or invisibility. Tonight I wish to have the valour and daring to belong to the moon.”
Virginia Woolf
In this week's Monday LinkedIn Live with my dear friend and high performance, empowerment coach, Nadine Benjamin MBE, EMBA - continuing on with our Courage Talks - we dived into the topic of VISIBILITY.
If you've ever hidden yourself away, whether personally or at work, not voiced your opinion, compromised your values, then chances are you've denied yourself (and the world) your powerful light of visibility.
So. what does it mean to be visible?
Here are 3 key factors to your visiblity journey:
1. Visibility to yourself
Allowing yourself the space to be visible to yourself before you are seen by others can bring about its own profound, insightful moments.?
Consider:
It’s as important to be visible to yourself as it is to be visible to others. In fact, without this first step, it's easy to get confused and lost out there.
Visibility to yourself is where we learn to value who we are, what we believe in and then live in alignment from this place, living on purpose. This is how we become effective leaders, practitioners and people.?
The courage to be visible is about standing up for your values and beliefs.
Visibility is also about vulnerability - having that willingness to stand up for what you believe in, no matter what.
Visibility doesn’t mean attention seeking or celebrity, although it can be a by-product depending on what your goals and objectives are.
Undertaking things such as:
Can help us to live in congruence and peace. It affords us freedom.
2. Visibility to others?
The readiness to be visible to others is the readiness to step into our courage and authenticity.

This can be a scary place and often, if we haven’t addressed the visibility to self first, it can be confusing and disempowering.
It’s good to create a strategy or guide on how to do this by:
Allowing yourself the opportunity to be visible to others can open a host of doors, create clarity, and bring your vision alive.
3. Visibility for All - as One - to create maximum resonance and impact
This is where our visibility work becomes more than just about ourselves or being seen by others. It’s about what we are able to do as one, to change the world.?
Simple acts such as campaigning to help a local resident to causes such as changing world politics and environmental issues are all acts of courage and collective visibility.?
This is for the greater good of others, either through your organisation, as a charity or taking a personal stand to invite others to follow.
You are not alone, so think of it this way:
Final thoughts:
Remember, all of this is a journey, so allow yourself the space to evaluate, refine and adapt as you move forward.
Visibility is about allowing yourself space to be seen but also releasing yourself from that which does not serve your highest self.
Let the change start from within and just take it one step at a time.
If you missed our live, drop me a DM and I'll send you the recording. Still learning how to use LinkedIn live! Note to self: must connect streaming channel... No... LinkedIn does not generate an automatic link.... ??
And if you'd like a chat about your visibility, then book a call here. I'd love to hear your story and help you become more visible.
