How can we create and develop our transformative mindset? While many of us may know the importance and significance of mindset, what is key is also the knowledge of the elements of how our mindset is formed. After all, we will never be in charge and be in control of anything (including our mindset) if we are not aware of the essentials that 'thing'.
?
Our mindset is formed by three key elements – personality, experience & environment, and our internal dialogue. Let us into these elements more in detail.
?
Personality - Our personality traits are formed even when we are extremely young and by the time we are conscious of them, ?they have already become hardwired into our brain. These personality traits, such as openness to experiences or neuroticism, will drive our mindset towards how we view the world and how we experience life.
The good news is that if you have certain personality traits that needs to be improved upon, such traits can be improved upon by engaging in better habit formation.
?
Experience & Environment – The experiences we accumulate through life significantly impact our mindset. Positive experiences can foster optimism, resilience, and a belief in our capabilities toward a better tomorrow. Conversely, negative experiences can contribute to fear, self-doubt, and a fixed mindset that always prevents an individual from becoming who he truly can become.

The environment we grew up in also places a crucial role as well. Supportive and encouraging environment can nurture mindsets that can be enabling as well as emphasising efforts towards growth and learning, continually. On the other hand, critical and limiting environment does create an atmosphere that is far less enabling for growth and empowerment.
?
Internal Dialogue – Our self-talk significantly impacts how we perceive ourselves and how we look at the world around us. Positive self-talk as well as constantly focusing on better opportunities can cultivate a mindset that it is transformational.
?
Creating a positive internal dialogue will also ensure that our cognitive bias it geared towards the positive. Cognitive bias refers to our unconscious mental shortcuts that leads to distorted thinking. To truth, everyone has a certain degree of cognitive bias. It is imperative that our cognitive bias are slanted towards a more positive transformative mindset that leads us to better success.
?
The power of the human mind is that it is flexible and malleable. Through conscious effort and the exposure to new environments and perspectives, individuals can develop a transformative mindset and foster greater success in life.
