"I think it's far more important to finish than to finish strong" was one of the comments that I received on my poll last week. And I get it.

In a world when life is so busy and everything is so hurried...any old finish can feel so tempting - it closes the mental loop left open by incompletion and enables us to quickly move onto the next thing...

As an avid sports fan, the Olympics holds such a special place in my heart.

I've been watching it for as long as I can remember and it has always been incredible. But for so many athletes, the competition represents the highest level of sporting excellence and yet for many YEARS of unseen sweat, toil and sacrifice.
