Not sure where to start your job search? Check out these 3 job search hacks to jump start your process today.
With so much technology out there in 2021, it can sometimes be overwhelming to know where to start. While this list isn’t all-inclusive, it gets you started with three LinkedIn hacks that get the ball rolling. Make sure to do all 3 because skipping one or two of these will mean you don’t get the results you’re after.
Good luck and here’s to taking the first step!
1. Update your LinkedIn profile with details of your most recent and applicable work. Highlight significant projects, your impact and the business outcomes.
Beyond the content of your profile, make sure the primary email on your LinkedIn account is accurate and that your email has been verified. This assures that your notifications and messages are routed to an email address you check regularly.

2. Let recruiters know you are open to work
If you want to signal to recruiters that you are open to hearing about job possibilities or the prospect of discussing your career, utilize the OpenToWork feature of LinkedIn.

3. Set your LinkedIn Notifications On.
It’s best to configure your notifications so that you receive an email message when someone reaches out to you LinkedIn. There are a whole set of privacy options, but I recommend at minimum under your Email notifications that you turn on:
Conversations to allow Messages, Posts and Comments to flow through to your primary email.
Jobs to allow Job Activities and Hiring Insights to come through.
