Me, Myself, and AI
Six years ago, while working as an Assistant Professor in Control Theory & Machine Learning at the Universidade de Aveiro , and subsequently at the Artificial Intelligence and CAD systems laboratory at Sofia Tech Park , witnessing the current state of AI was nothing short of a dream.
Fast forward two years ago, during my final MSc thesis research project at Cranfield School of Management , I had a conversation about early-stage investments with the Managing Partner of one of the largest UK Venture Capital funds. Curious to know his insights, I asked: Besides blockchain, quantum computing, and AI, which technologies do you think will be highly relevant for investments in the next 10 years?
He replied: "Petar, first of all, AI is becoming a layer across all industries. So, quite soon, we won't talk about AI companies a lot, as it will be part of the very fabric of the business.
I think what's interesting is what sectors are going to be rapidly changing because of AI ..."
And now, this week, our team at Alchemy Crew Ventures had the incredible opportunity to contribute to the organisation of the remarkable OVHcloud Startup Program Showcase - Artificial Intelligence & the Rise of Generative AI. The event was also powered by Intel Ignite and Yepic AI . The discussions on Artificial Intelligence and the rise of Generative AI left us buzzing with excitement.
We were privileged to have renowned speakers, including Shan Millie , Sylvain Rouri , ?? Aaron Jones , and Francesca Tabor , who generously shared their profound insights on the true essence of generative AI. They provided valuable perspectives on the challenges, strategies, and the exciting opportunities that exist within this rapidly evolving field.
We were additionally fortunate to gain valuable insights on AI from investors Tania Hoeding , Ofer Shayo , and Eze Vidra , who graciously shared their perspectives. Their views on generative AI were truly enlightening!
