3 Inspiring Leadership Qualities that you Wish to Instil in your Team

There is nothing better than having a supportive leader by your side, and there’s nothing worse than having an arrogant manager in your head.?

Before becoming an owner of a company, I have worked under multiple managers. Some of them seemed to be approachable and friendly enough to discuss my professional and personal issues, while others stayed aloof, making me feel scared and intimidated.?

When I became a manager, I understood the nitty-gritty of handling a team of well-trained employees. It was a difficult task but what kept me going was my own failures. I learned from my own mistakes and the review of my team members.?

Gradually I strived to transform myself into a leader that everyone wanted to work with. This struggle of mine taught me a lot about being an inspiring leader.?

Today, I’ll be sharing the 3 inspiring leadership practices that inspire my team to give their best.?

1.Believe & Trust

When you build a team from scratch, you always ensure the team becomes a small family together. This can only happen if you show them that you trust them and you truly rely on their talent and knowledge.?

This gives your team a boost to diligently work for the company and bring noteworthy results to the table. For this, you need to truly believe that your team deserves your trust.?

A manager cannot fake his/her emotions because the team is intelligent enough to sense them. Therefore, train yourself to trust them and rely on their hard work and capabilities.?

To build a healthy relationship with your team, start teaching them the importance of facts and research. Once they start quoting decisions based on true facts, they will be reliable and trustworthy. And eventually, a junior analyst can also beat a senior in the office.?

2. Offer Appreciation and Rewards

Let’s not ignore the fact that appreciation and reward are an important part of motivating your employees to give their best.?

Human beings live for money and appreciation and we as managers tend to forget it very conveniently. Hence, even if you aren’t able to give your team the appraisal they were expecting, do share the rewards and appreciation as and when the team prospers.?

This appreciation helps the team to stay happy and content. Once they are happy, they will do whatever it takes to bring success to the team. Please don’t forget the time when you started to work as an employee in a firm and it failed to acknowledge your hard work. How must that have felt?!

3. Inspire Employees Through Your Efforts

Every big leader today has done something right that they have reached a position where no one can defeat them, at least internally.?

By working alongside your team and helping them see that you are there for them, you can help your team be inspired to work a lot harder.?

Elon Musk said in one of his interviews, “Your title makes you a manager but your people make you a leader … If you are a manager or leading at any level at SpaceX, we stress that your team is not there to serve you. You are there to serve your team and help them do the best possible job for the company. This applies to me most of all.”

Be a leader who serves their team and shares his or her ideas and thoughts for the prosperity of the company. This keeps your team in a sink with your company’s vision and mission.?

In the end, I would like to say that follow your heart’s instinct and treat your employees that seem best at that moment. Bring your team a step closer to your ideas by keeping them in the loop.
