Even if you can’t spend time in person with the world’s most innovative and thoughtful leaders, you can still glean from interviews, podcasts, and books about their lives. 1. SET YOUR INTENTION
In the morning, before you look at your email or your assistant comes to you with the latest urgent problem, decide what your top priority is. Set that intention and follow it through. Keep it on a sticky note on your laptop or your desk. Set it in front of your face, so you can’t forget it even if you want to.?
2. SET ASIDE NON-NEGOTIABLE TIME TO READ
Every successful person talks about their reading habits. Bill Gates has said himself that he reads 50 books per year. If you don’t read, try listening to an audiobook. Otherwise, if you want to start a reading habit, like any other habit, start small. Set a timer for 5 minutes and only read that much. Set up your environment for success. Leave your book on your nightstand, at the breakfast table, or load an ebook on your Kindle or phone. Before you know it, you’ll be reading plenty!

3. START EACH DAY OFFLINE.
Many business leaders have discussed that they don’t start their day looking at their phones or perusing through email. Instead, they wake up with an old-school alarm lock or set their phones on do not disturb mode until later in the day. Regardless, all leaders find that having boundaries regarding technology lets the tech help their success instead of hindering it.
To Sum It All Up:
Studying leaders’ habits can always give us fresh ideas for how to design our lives to be more successful. While it’s fine to gather ideas and try things out, the best habit for you is the one that will stick. Perhaps you try something out, but it doesn’t serve your best interests. As long as you try to get 1% better every day, you will compound the effects in a simple matter of time.
