When do I know if I need to make some changes in my life? How do obvious indicators look like? And how can I start changing?
Let us start answering these questions with an unusual assumption, on which my life philosophy is based: I believe that you "deserve" the very best in life. You read correctly. I want you to be happy, successful, rich and in peace with yourself. I also do believe that you can be all that.
I will point out a hand full of ideas how to get there after describing three essential signs, which show you that you should make some changes in your life:
1.Your everyday life bores you
You complain, nag and gossip about (almost) everything and everybody. You get upset easily and are quite negative in the way you think, speak and act. You feel unhappy, uninspired - floating around like a boat in the ocean without a proper target. You even have the impression that you "waste" your life.
I believe that life should be exciting, diverse and great. Once you reached a toxic routine like the above, it might be challenging to get used to the idea again that you do not have to live like that. You can create your dream life(style). Start by doing one new thing per day that puts a smile on your face.
2.You are self-destructive
You eat unhealthy, spend time with people who do not value you, you do not get enough sleep. You drink and/or smoke excessively, talk ugly about yourself and keep on ignoring the signals your body sends out to you (e.g. being overweight, getting skin problems).
You are wonderful - just the way you are. I am absolutely convinced though that you can get better, more successful and happier if you respected your body and its needs a tiny bit more. Start working out, say no to junk food, drink heaps of water, sleep at least eight hours per day and watch the magic happen...
3.You do not invest in yourself
You do not grow, do not develop and do not face your fears. Instead of reading a book or challenging yourself with exciting new mini projects, you watch TV, play video games and spend hours on the internet.
Your commitment to yourself is the longest commitment you will ever have. Make sure that you do not only nourish your body but also your mind. Start reading at least one book per month. Explore your city and take calculated risks (e.g. skydive) to prove to yourself how courageous you are.
To sum it up
Forget about money, your current skills and other potential limitations: If all these factors did not exist. Who would you be? What would you do to contribute to society? How would your life look like?
I believe that everybody of us is great at something. The challenge in life is to find out what you are passionate about and use this insight as a basis for creating the life(style) of your dreams. Follow your intuition. It will guide you to this place.
Good luck!

8 年Great post Natalia. Couldn't agree with you more. More often than not if you listen to the inner self , may find that you are in peace with you self or not.
