3 Differentiators for Successful Leaders
Leadership is about building people around you. It involves building an atmosphere of trust and ownership in every interaction. A true leader will be a thinker and a doer put together. The leaders have an ability to inspire and motivate even in the toughest times. We all look up to such leaders and leaders are created over time. They prove their leadership finesse over and over again. It doesn't mean that they don't face setbacks and all is hunky-dory for them.
3 Leadership differentiators are:-
1) Emphatic :- A Leader is able to feel empathy for his fellow members. He is able to go to their level and feel their pains and challenges. This virtue of a leader will help win the trust and support of his team members and in turn motive them to give their best. Leaders with empathy are mindful, thinking and feeling individuals which makes them apart from the rest of the top level and ensures that they in turn have excellent EQs and are great communicators due to their empathy.
2) Adaptable :- True leaders are adaptable, making them flexible and ready to accept change or better still be a change agent in challenging the status quo. They are also disruptors who are never satisfied with what has been achieved and want to always try out the better solution even if it involves getting ones' own hands dirty. This makes them the doers and not only the ones chartering the plans. They are always excited to try out and explore newer avenues and become a better version of themselves every day. Change is the only constant for them.
3) Thinkers :- The ones always thinking and planning for what should follow. They are the ones with the vision. Vision not only for the work which is getting done, but vision for each and every person who is working with them. They keep thinking about how to take a person from where he/she is to where they need to be. These leaders have a plan for almost everything and everyone. They are always adjusting, planning, strategist on the future.
All the other skills and attributes gets coupled into these 3 areas which every super successful leader has and all striving leaders should develop. These 3 areas are all interconnected into just 1 aspect, i.e. raising ones perception above the current and challenging ourselves on a daily basis. These virtues can be found in every leader who is considered successful.

6 年I think in point 1 you mean- Empathetic and Emphatic. Why dont you add some examples from your experiences on the challenges faced around all these qualities and what you did to overcome them. For e.g empathic leaders are perceived as? weak leaders, who cant push their teams.. One may be adaptable and disruptor, but the project, client or timelines forces you to follow the beaten path..and so on.. And last but not the least, How do you define success as a leader?
