3 Decades of Creations and Inventions by Eduardo Baez Vicierra (2nd Half of second decade 2005-2009)

Due to my recent achievement of 30 years of professional career I have decided to make a summary of my main creations and inventions around those 30 years of professional experience, here you will find 2nd Half of second decade 2005-2009, enjoy this journey again with me:

2004-2005-2006 (For Orimatita′s Baker Hughes Inc, Industrial Plant in Maturin): Yes, Baker again !. When Baker Hughes knew about the results and the complete intelligent surveillance system delivered to China National Petroleum Company by me a my team, one year later they said: “We want the same, we want this”, and I designed the whole complete system but now adapted and customized for the Orimatita′s Industrial Plant in East Venezuela, more 200 cameras, sensors, electronic cards, cabling as well as the complete technology infrastructure to automate the complete and wonderful Industrial Plant, in this case due to the complex economic and political situation in Venezuela Baker only can get the plans, the design and the “how to do it”, but indeed that was the main objective at least on that difficult times, leave Baker Hughes with the clear path on how to build this such awesome scheme of automation as well as surveillance intelligent security system for the near or even for the far away better future and I did it.

Baker Management liked so much the entire creation and it ended on the request to make and repeat this Intelligence and Security Building Scheme for all their branches in the rest of Venezuela and I of course designed and delivered that for them.

2006-2007 (For Hotels Industry in Venezuela): In order to get the complete readiness of the Hotels Industry in Venezuela to can get and reach the goal of accommodate all the population going to the country for the Copa America 2007 Soccer Event I created the complete infrastructure technology required as well as the plan and path orchestration for tech refresh for main Chain of Hotels in the country.

2007- 2010 ( For Schlumberger M-I SWACO and Smith International): I was finishing the beautiful and awesome Gran Hotel Puerto La Cruz technology readiness project and previous to complete the Caracas Hilton Hotel also I received the call that marked the beginning of my second period of employee for this company now as Venezuela and Trinidad – Tobago IT Manager, well, are you ready?, here we go:

2007 ( For Schlumberger M-I SWACO and Smith International): Design, construction and put in place of the complete automated servers backup system for all M-I SWACO branches in Venezuela as well as for Trinidad – Tobago.

2007 ( For Schlumberger M-I SWACO and Smith International): Applications Web Database Invention – Creation and Development using platforms like Visual Studio and SQL Server Applications like: (Human Resources Systems \ Purchase Material Request Applications \ Inventory Auxiliary Systems)

2008 ( For Schlumberger M-I SWACO and Smith International): Invention and Design of the Redenomination Currency System Grant , this automated platform allowed the company to grant that (All Systems were passed to new format of currency "Data Conversion") Results: ZERO INCIDENTS and all databases of all system were migrated to the new data conversion // (It involved all M-I SWACO Administrative Systems, Operative Systems (Even those that interact with RIGs and Offshore Platforms), excel files, etc., etc )

2008 ( For Schlumberger M-I SWACO and Smith International): Creation, Design, Planning, Development, Testing, Implementation and Executing of a complete Disaster Recovery Plan for Schlumberger M-I SWACO and Smith International in (Brasil, Ecuador, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Trinidad and Tobago, Mexico and Central America, Peru, Bolivia, Venezuela and USA) involving, networking, servers, ERP System, Internet and Data Links preventing to this organization in all of this countries to reduce to zero percentages the possibilities of an incident at any level.

 Plan involved backup links, backup servers for main apps and data users, strategy for telecommunications and cellular so satelital voice communications, rigs plans so the infrastructure to support them with computers and software at most highest level required by the industry giving to Schlumberger M-I SWACO and Smith International a complete armour-plate for all of their technological infrastructure.

 2009 ( For Schlumberger M-I SWACO and Smith International): Invention and Creation of a tunnel between Venezuela and Trinidad for Communication and network data purpose LAN / WAN ( Maturin - Point Lisas - Port of Spain) based on a VPN Bridge.

The creation of this tunnel triggered and ended on the idea in M-I SWACO to create a complete VoIP interconnection between all branches of Latin America, and you can be sure that this was a huge additional project which leaded M-I SWACO to millionaire savings in U.S Dollars regarding voice communications…
