One of the most common mistakes new business owners make is that Most entrepreneurs think that as long as their products are in demand, prospects will be on their knees to buy it (wrong).

Prospects don’t care about how good a product is, they care about themselves, their pains and their problems.

So, instead of talking about the product, talk about how your product or business opportunity will be a good fit for them.

You need to position your product as the solution to their problems or the answer to their questions. Also, make sure to adjust your words to each of your prospects.

E.g. If you’re talking to a stay at home….. You may say: “I help stay at home moms to make more money so they won’t miss any step of their growing children”.

If you’re talking to baby boomers…. You may say: “My business help people sleep better knowing they will have enough money to retire”

MISTAKE #2: Giving too much information.

The purpose of prospecting is to build curiosity at the first impression.

Giving the name of your business opportunity or product will stop the prospecting process since your lead will go check your opportunity in search engines and may fall on a bad review of your product.
