3 Clever Ways to Make Your Saas Landing Page Content Convert

A smart SaaS marketer never leaves a landing page to chance. Landing pages are usually stand-alone pages that SaaS marketers create to specifically generate leads in niche industries. And for good reason. SaaS buyers are looking for credible service providers who have a good foundation.?

According to Hubspot, 10% is the standard for a good conversion rate, and the average landing page conversion rate across all industries is 5.89%.

Saas businesses rely on content marketing for conversions. That makes content crucial. Here are three clever ways to make your SaaS content convert.?

# 1 Tell a story on your landing page?

Most SaaS marketers think the best pages to tell their brand story are: About Us and Our Company. However, landing pages need storytelling as much as any other page. However, the story on landing pages is not about the company or the founders. It is about the consistency, professionalism, and work ethics that your company executes in all its services and deliveries.? Every fold of your landing page should be consistent in terms of tone, language, and value proposition.?

The best way to tell a good story on a landing page is -?

  • by stating your value statement?
  • by demonstrating the value statement throughout the page?
  • by telling the same story of the value you offer at every fold in different ways

How do you tell a story to make your landing page convert?

  • Use the header to explain your value statement clearly and effectively?
  • The value statement should be above the fold
  • Make sure the value statement is demonstrated throughout the rest of the page
  • Focus on a simple value proposition or a single offer throughout the page
  • Don’t tell your brand or founding story on the landing page?

For example, the mental health app Calm claims to be the #1 app for sleep and meditation above the fold. It demonstrates the ‘how’ just below the value statement.?

# 2 Match your primary header to the landing page ad?

Landing pages are called so for a reason: they are meant to make potential users land on those pages. Users will land there through an online ad link. However, today’s SaaS users are aware of marketing clickbait. They must get what they expect. One way to ensure this is to match the primary headline of your landing page with that of the ad headline.

Take, for example, Amazon’s AWS service, which uses the same headline on its landing page as it appears on all its Google ads.?

# 3 Follow the ‘Singular’ principle?

Landing page content often confuses potential clients if it talks about too many services at the same time. The landing page should be treated differently than the home page. It should have a singular focus and, if possible, only one or two services. Give away a single offer with a single CTA (call to action) button.?

How do you ensure your CTAs stand out?

  • Use simple phrases or words like buy, sign up, download, try for free, etc.
  • Add a bit of time or urgency elements such as buy now, learn today, get instant access, etc.
  • Try 5 seconds test - your CTA should be readable in 5 seconds?
  • Use only 60 characters per CTA?
