3 Business Lessons From Grant Cardone
There were so many things Grant Cardone said while I was in Miami that if I listed all of them, it would look like a book.
Out of all the things that Grant said, these lessons specifically stood out to me as more business related, but anyone can apply them how they’d like.
You’d be surprised how simple yet impactful these lessons were, and when you think about it that’s what the most successful individuals do: The simple things on a bigger scale.
Over Promise & Over Deliver
Grant has said this in the past, and continues to preach about it; he says:
Over Promise and Over Deliver.
Now I’ve had my own opinions about this particular subject because it’s gotten me into trouble in the past.?
So I’ve found some middle ground because everything else Grant said was gold.
The key to over promising and over delivering is to tread lightly when you’re over promising, and then push yourself to over deliver.
I don’t believe anyone wants to look like a liar or like they don’t know what they’re doing so if you’re confident in what you’re over promising plus set expectations, I believe we can over promise, then over deliver.?
If you’re not comfortable with this tactic then just try setting realistic expectations but at some point you should over promise, even if it’s little by little.

95% of Your Time?
If you struggle with making yourself more powerful as a business owner, and can’t seem to push through that target you set for yourself, this next lesson may be what you need to hear.
95% of your time should be spent on what got you where you are today.
When you really think about it, why not continue to do more of what brought you your success?
If you could do more of what made you successful, and find others to do the rest now you’re making yourself an asset for your business as well.
Every successful business owner gets to where they are because of a certain skill, action, etc. so why not strengthen that ability to produce more?
Personalities vs. Brands
This may save you a lot of time in the long run if you didn’t already know, but Grant expressed the fact that
People Want to Follow Personalities
Brands aren’t personalities, people are personalities.
So when you look at the most successful marketing business people in the world, they walk the walk and you see their personality all over the place; social media, email, internet, etc.
Why? Because people have more in common with other people than they would with a logo or mascot.
For example, Grant Cardone's YouTube Channel isn’t called 10x, and Gary Vaynerchuk's YouTube Channel isn’t called VaynerX.
Their YouTube channels aren’t under a brand name because they know people want to follow personalities and that’s how you create an empire of loyal followers.
