3 Advertising Trends You Need To Know In 2022

I've just written an email to all Yatter clients with 3 advertising trends I think are going to be hugely important going into 2022.
I thought I'd share them with you here on LinkedIn too (taken directly from client email).
#1 The importance of great creative
I’ve been ranting about the importance of great content and creative for a few years now, but never has it been more important. Ad space is becoming more and more competitive and without good creative, it’s almost impossible to stand out from your competitors.
We’re working on bringing out some new creative services (around video editing, design services etc.) to ensure you have great creative (with minimal work required on your end).
#2 Focus on long-term gains
iOS has muddied the waters for all advertisers across all platforms. There’s no getting away from that. Things like delayed reporting means we can’t accurately measure performance of a day until up to 3 days after.
Therefore it’s important that we look at the long-term performance of our advertising as much as the short-term. Those that focus on long-term customer lifetime value over short-term gains will have the best success.
Dan Kennedy said it best:?“Whoever can spend the most money to acquire a customer wins”.
#3 Cross-channel advertising
Brands will start to diversify their advertising channels. Where they may have only focussed on one channel before, they will start to spend across multiple.
