2nd Metrology Summer School 2023

INTRODUCTION

Building upon the success of the inaugural event, we aim to continue fostering knowledge exchange and capacity building in metrology across the African continent. This summer school will provide a unique platform for participants to enhance their understanding of measurement science and its applications, ultimately contributing to improved quality infrastructure and economic development. The Second Metrology Summer School in Africa aims to build upon the success of the inaugural event by providing a comprehensive platform for knowledge exchange, capacity building, and networking in metrology. We believe that this event will contribute significantly to the development of quality infrastructure across Africa, ultimately leading to improved economic growth and societal well-being.

MFA work includes organizing training programs, workshops, and seminars to raise awareness of metrology's importance and encourage more women to pursue careers in this field. We also support research and development projects that focus on advancing metrology in Africa and other developing regions. The purpose of this program is to increase the awareness of Metrology in Africa. By introducing the students to the basic concept of Metrology and explain to them the importance of metrology in our daily lives. And to promote metrology as a fundamental discipline for accurate measurements and reliable data. The program will be conducted online via Zoom platform and will provide hands-on training through virtual laboratory tours.
