Details of recent Express Entry Draws

5,900 candidates received invitations on December 8, 2023, with a minimum CRS of 481 in a category-based selection draw for candidates in STEM occupations. One more category-based draw was held on December 7th for individuals who have French language proficiency. IRCC invited 1,000 candidates from this Express Entry pool with a minimum CRS score of 470.

On December 6th, All-program draw was held with a minimum CRS of 561. It was the first draw to take place in December.

Category-based selection

IRCC invited candidates who have a specific, in-demand attribute as the immigration minister thinks this will improve Canada’s workforce and economy. There are 6 categories; among them, one will target Express Entry candidates, and the remaining 5 are candidates who have work experience in the following sectors.

• Healthcare;
• STEM professions;
• Trades;
• Transport; and
• Agriculture and agri-food
