There’s been quite a bit of discussion around the best time to begin upgrading to Odoo v18.

Odoo v15 and v14 no longer receive official support and are set to be phased out from Odoo.sh, it's an important consideration.

"With large customizations, it’s important to take things step by step. Start with a thorough review of your custom modules, make sure they are future-proofed for v18. Remove code from your customization which is not needed as per v18. Contact your Odoo Implementation partner or experienced service provider to guide you on this path to ensure your upgrade is smooth and your customizations work seamlessly on v18."
