REINSW Advocacy Update on the Residential Tenancies Amendment Regulation 2025.

Our position remains firm. REINSW opposes the proposed reforms regarding pets in rental properties, the abolition of no ground termination notices, and the introduction of new prescribed grounds for termination. You can review our publicly available submissions here.

REINSW continues to advocate on the industry’s behalf, working to ensure the Draft Regulation is as balanced as possible. However, as these reforms were Government election promises, our efforts to gain traction have been challenging. Despite this, we remain committed to pushing for a fair regulatory framework.

To support our members, REINSW is running the Navigate the New Landscape: Mastering the NSW Rental Reforms event to support property managers and the wider industry to implement these changes with practical advice on how to apply the changes once they commence.
