Today marks World Suicide Prevention Day 2024. Suicide leaves behind feelings of grief, concern, and loss for families, friends, and society as a whole. Addressing it requires a compassionate, coordinated effort from all sectors of society. Each year, more than 700,000 lives are lost to suicide worldwide, with many other more who make attempts. Every suicide is a heartbreaking tragedy that leaves lasting effects on those left behind. King & Moffatt are dedicating time across all our sites to conduct a Toolbox Talk (TBT) on Suicide Prevention. It's a crucial topic that affects so many, and we're raising awareness among our teams. An email was also shared with our staff, highlighting key facts and ways we can all help combat suicide. Together, we can make a difference. #WorldSuicidePreventionDay #SuicidePrevention #MentalHealthMatters #EndTheStigma #YouAreNotAlone #ReachOut

It is National Suicide Prevention and Awareness Week (September 9-14.) People who may be considering suicide can appear moody and hopeless. Many times they lose interest in day-to-day activities and may start to clean out their personal items and give away treasured things. If you suspect your child is thinking about suicide, get help immediately! It is okay to ask them directly if they are thinking about suicide and if they have a plan. There is ALWAYS help available. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is 988 and can be accessed by phone or text. #988Lifeline #suicideawareness #suicideprevention #knowthesigns

With Suicide Prevention Month here I wanted to recommend ASIST Training to anyone curious about how they can help with suicide prevention. You don't have to be a mental health professional to help out a stranger - just hear their story and do your best to create that life-saving conversation. #MentalHealth #SuicidePreventionMonth
