Civil engineering news and analysis from New Civil Engineer, magazine of the Institution of Civil Engineers
The talent of the new generation of civil engineers will be celebrated tomorrow on 25 November at the Institution of Civil Engineers headquarters at 1 Great George Street in London, when six young professionals will be crowned in front of key industry figures.
We are looking forward to discover who the 2022 winners are!
This year NCE is not only celebrating its 50th anniversary, but also the 25th anniversary of the NCE Graduate & Apprentice Awards ! Many of the former winners are holding key roles within and outside the industry, a testament to the great work the awards’ judges have been doing at recognising talent.
Over the years the awards grew stronger and new categories were added. In addition to the Graduate of the Year Award and more recently introduced Apprentice of the Year category, the Degree Apprentice of the Year was added last year to recognise the current evolution of apprenticeships as civil engineering qualifications.
Three more new awards were also introduced in 2021 to recognise outstanding contributions to the net zero carbon effort, digital engineering and to the industry as a whole.
We thought we’d share this short video?of 25 years of the NCE Graduate & Apprentice Awards:
The NCE Graduate & Apprentice Awards wouldn’t be possible without our partner, Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) , and sponsors. This year the event’s sponsors were: Amey , 奥雅纳 , BAM Nuttall Ltd , Expanded , GHD , Heathrow , Mott MacDonald and Stantec .
