2.5MW 4Pole Alternator Stator Complete Rewind

This generator was of a reputed sugar industry, they were facing problem with not being able to run the alternator on full load and there were heating and humming problems with the stator.

We got the opportunity to serve the client, the stator had hotspots and improper re-insulation job was done without inter-layer insulation. We removed all the stator stamping and re-used the old copper with capton + mica insulation for superior insulation and thermal capacity. After the complete process the alternator worked with 100% capacity without any heating issue of humming noise.
