Meanwhile, the Tongwei TNC-G12 module, with a standard size of 2384x1303mm, achieved a power output of 778.5W?and a conversion efficiency of 25.06%, also breaking records for both efficiency and power in the TOPCon module category.

Innovation and Progress: Reaching New Heights

Compared to Tongwei’s previous TNC module power record set in late December 2024, this achievement is primarily attributed to the deep integration of Tongwei’s R&D innovations in TNC cell and module technologies. By leveraging advanced technologies such as tubular PECVD poly deposition, Poly Tech, EPT passivation, and screen printing, along with optimizing the module’s optical and electrical designs, Tongwei further enhanced its high-density cell layout.

These advancements resulted in the TNC-G12R 66 module’s power increasing by 19.3W?and its efficiency by 0.72%, while the TNC-G12 66 module’s power increased by 15.1W?with a 0.48%?boost in conversion efficiency. This achievement marks the second record-breaking milestone for Tongwei’s Global Innovation R&D Center since its inauguration, with this breakthrough occurring just three months after the last one — a strong testament to the center’s robust technological capabilities.

Additionally, Tongwei’s “High-Efficiency Silicon Passivated Contact Solar Cell (TNC) Technology” was included in the 2023 China Photovoltaic Industry Innovation Achievements Catalog?as the only TOPCon cell technology to receive this honor.

In 2024, Tongwei’s independently developed “High-Efficiency N-type TOPCon Solar Cell” was recognized as a Sichuan Province Major Technical Equipment First Set Product, marking the first time a solar cell has achieved this recognition in the region.
