25 years

25 years ago today I started an adventure at a scrappy firm called Edelman. It was a place where people hustled, curiosity and ideas ruled the day and work got done. Sure, it was chaotic and hard-charging and we lived an ethos of radical transparency before that term had meaning. But that was also the charm of the place.

While the Edelman of today also includes ingenious creatives, clever former journalists, reformed management consultants and brand managers, forward thinking performance marketers... we are still very much the same company I joined. Client focused. Never self-satisfied. In it to build something distinct, not to ape another company's strategy. Ultimately, have the courage to be an ever-changing Edelman, anchored by an earned mindset.

Edelman, 25 years in, is once again pushing forward to step ahead of change. It's just part of the founder culture DNA. For me, the adventure continues apace...

Congrats Russell! I interned for you in 2004. I was checking up on our old Edelman colleagues and it's no surprise that you ascended to the C-Suite.
